GET A FREE LISTING FOR YOUR GAY BUSINESS

Because Bangkok has so many gay and gay friendly places, we've split this guide into three pages.

This page you're on now lists Accommodation, Cabaret, Eating Out, and Shops & Services.

About Gay Bangkok
This page lists hotels, guesthouses, cafes, cabarets, restaurants, shops and services offered by gay business in Bangkok.

For other listings of bars, clubs etc., please click on the links above.

Bangkok is a huge city with a vibrant gay scene that mixes both commercial and non commercial venues.
The city can be very cruisy so it is not difficult to meet guys anywhere!

The main gay areas are around Suriwong and Silom Roads; Ramkhamhaeng  Road (Lumsalee); in Saphan Kwai and nearby Kampaengphet Road, with more bars & saunas scattered across the city. If you know of any new bars or clubs, or any changes to the places listed here, please let us know.

Getting Around the City
The easiest ways to get around Bangkok are by the BTS Skytrain, and the MRT subway (Underground railway), or by the Chao Phrya Express river boats, and taxi.

The Skytrain & subway are small compared to many other large cities, but both have stations near important gay places. Many gay bars, pubs and discos are close to the BTS skytrain Sala Daeng Station and the MRT Silom Station. Click here to see a map of how the systems link, plus the new airport rail link.

Taxis are cheap and plentiful. The minimum fare is 35 baht, and the meters run on a combination of distance and time, so in heavy traffic you'll be paying a little bit for the time spent waiting. Generally, taxis are a great bargain, and better value and safer than 'tuk-tuks'.

There are also hundreds of airconditioned and non-airconditioned public bus routes, but the chances are you'll need a local friend to help you figure out which ones to use.

A nice alternative way to get to some places is the Chao Phrya Express Boat, a public river boat running the length of the Chao Phrya river across (and just ouside) the city limits. Boats run every 20 minutes during the day, and every 5 minutes during rush hours. The service stops at about 7pm. Click here to see a map of the route.
